Product review: EQyss premier natural botanical equine shampoo

Ok! So since today was so lovely out I decided to give Jax a bath with some new shampoo I bought. I picked up a bottle of the EQyss premier natural botanical shampoo. You can find this shampoo at just about any farm or tack store. I bought mine from Southern States. It's reasonably piced at about $15 for a 32 oz. bottle. The first thing I noticed is how absolutely wonderful it smells! It has a very fresh, light, fruity smell. It's light pearlescent blue in color and is fairly thick so a little will go a long way! I put maybe a capful and a half in a five gallon construction bucket and filled it about 3/4 of the way with warm water. It suds up more than I had expected it to and found myself not needing to refresh my sponge/scrub brush as often as I did when using the old shampoo (I used pert plus for normal hair before). Once I filled my bucket up with the diluted shampoo mixture and wet Jax down I began lathering him up and giving a good scrub. As soon as I started working the shampoo into his coat I noticed how quickly it was picking up all that sweat, dirt, and dust that had been hiding in the under layers of his coat. Not once did I have an issue with loosing lather or really having to put any elbow grease into scrubbing clean his white spots and his white sock. It rinsed off just as easily as it sudsed up in the beginning! It left no residue behind and I didn't have to go back and rinse a second time which is a big plus! Another nice thing about this shampoo is its environmentally friendly so you won't have to feel bad about washing it down the drain. All in all this is a very nice shampoo and I will definitely be buying this again and recommending it to friends! Once I get home from work I will edit this post to include a photo of the shampoo and before and after bath pictures. :)
